The diary contains details of the YAS programme, the individual sections programmes and those of affiliated societies. This may vary from the printed programme as it is updated as changes are notified to us.

Details of Society and Section abbreviations and who to contact for further information are here. The group initials are also clarified, along with contact details for the secretary/organiser for the Group. The area codes refer to the three traditional Ridings of Yorkshire - East (ER), North (NR) or West (WR) - or Claremont (Cl), to help you identify meetings of interest in your area.

All meetings, except those of affiliated societies, are at Claremont unless otherwise stated in the meeting / event column. For affiliated societies, details of meeting places where advised are given on the Abbreviations page, unless indicated in the entry.

 

YAS JOINT EVENTS

In the interest of taking the Society out & around the county, we continue to arrange joint events with our Affiliated Societies & other groups with similar interests. In 2011- 2012, these include some regular events.

Please feel free to contact the Hon. Gen. Secretary, via Claremont or email , if your group is interested in joining with the YAS to arrange such a meeting.

YAS & THE INTERNET

Our web site is being updated frequently, so we would encourage you to check in on a regular basis for news & new items. In 2009, we introduced a ‘News’ page via www.yas.org.uk, where we can publicise events which happen between mailings that you might be interested in. If there are other events which you feel would be of general interest to our members, please feel free to
contact YAS Secretary with details. We also have a news alert mailing list which you can sign up to by contacting the Hon. Gen. Secretary at the above email address. This is used to keep members informed of a variety of events & happenings across the county, & in some cases the country, which may be of interest between mailings.
