Community archaeology in Leeds

As part of our 150th celebrations the YAS is working with the WEA to hold a weekend of community archaeology in the Little Woodhouse area of Leeds near the YAS's headquarters at Claremont.

Join us for a weekend of community archaeology in association with the WEA Inclusive Archaeology Project. We will be opening a number of small trenches in the Little Woodhouse area of Leeds - come along and find out about surveying, excavation and artefacts.
Sat 13 April - surveying/preparing: 1-3pm
Sun 14 April - the dig, 11am-3pm
Mon 15 Apr - completing the dig and interpreting finds, 11am-3pm

A community lunch will be organised for participants by the Little Woodhouse Community Association on the Sunday
