AGM and visit to University of Leeds Special Collection, 26 September 2015

Members should now have received their papers for the YAS AGM. This will be held at 2.30 pm on Saturday 26th September 2015. It will take place in the Main Hall, Swarthmore Education Centre, 2-7 Woodhouse Square, Leeds, Yorkshire, LS31AD. The Swarthmore Education Centre lies just downhill from Claremont at 2-7 Woodhouse Square, on the south side of the square.

Although there is no parking at Swarthmore Education Centre itself, at weekends users of Swarthmore can park for free in the 'Joseph's Well' car park immediately behind Swarthmore. The address for the car park is Hanover Lane, LS3 1AB. The best entrance to use to access the car park is that to the West of Swarthmore (nearer to Leeds City College). The usual limited parking will also be available at Claremont.

It would be greatly appreciated if those members planning to attend the meeting, or wishing to give their apologies, could let the Hon General Secretary, Dr David Buck, know before hand, preferably by e-mail via yas.secretary@gmail.com.

Members will also have the opportunity on the morning of the 26 September to find out more about the University of Leeds Special Collections, which will in future house and make available the Society's archives and early printed books collections. Joanne Fitton will give an introduction to the Special Collections of the University of Leeds in the Brotherton Room at 11am. The Brotherton Room is located in the Brotherton Library in the Parkinson Building at the University of Leeds.

Places are limited so please book a place by contacting Judith Rushton on yas.clerical@gmail.com or 0113 245 7910
