Opportunities to view Walker-related archive material purchased earlier in 2016 (the Walker-Tottie archive) - 2.00 pm, 30 November 2016, University of Leeds

Earlier this year generous donations from members, and grants from the Francis Coales Charitable Foundation and the Friends of the National Libraries, enabled the Society to purchase the Walker/Tottie archive at auction. This was a considerable coup for the Society. The new material is now listed under YAS/MD489, and forms part of our collection at the Brotherton Library Special Collections Department at the University of Leeds. The list can be seen online:

There is now an opportunity to view the new material, together with some of Gerge Walker's original watercolours, in the Treasures Gallery, in the university's Parkinson Building, at 2 p.m. on Wednesday 30 November. There will also be an introduction to the new Treasures Gallery, with its permanent and temporary exhibitions. All members and friends welcome.
