YAHS Industrial History lecture.

Gill Cookson, President of the YAHS, will talk about the changing face of the West Riding textile industry during the period 1750-1840, exploring the machines, factories, and organisation of businesses. The talk will draw on the extensive research for her most recent book The age of machinery: engineering the Industrial Revolution, 1770-1850. To be held at the Swarthmore Education Centre, 2-7 Woodhouse Square, Leeds, LS3 1AD. Non-members welcome - £2.00 donation suggested. Tea/coffee is available in the Swarthmore café before the lecture.
