Fraser Brown, Project Manager, Oxford North, will present: New Mesolithic Discoveries from the North: Changing Views on Hunter/ Gatherer Lifestyles and the Arrival of Farming

Fraser has been involved in excavating and interpreting several important Mesolithic and Neolithic sites. These include the unexpectedly rich discoveries from excavations at Ronaldsway airport on the Isle of Man, from a river-side site on the Carlisle Northern Bypass and, most recently, from a site near Blackpool, which has proved to be ‘truly remarkable’. His findings are likely to challenge established theories about the Mesolithic and the transition to the Neolithic. Registration information available in early March.
