Following the highly successful 2025 conference – New Light on Yorkshire’s Past – the 2026 Yorkshire History Conference will take place on Saturday 10 October in York.
This year we are working with the Historic Towns Trust to focus on Yorkshire Towns through the Ages. You can hear about towns and cities from across the county, from Sheffield to Scarborough, in different historical periods, and discuss how mapping can be used as a tool to represent these stories, as well as learning about the Trust’s work in progress, work planned, and the use of the published maps in historical research - among much else.
