Briefing is published twice a year as a benefit of membership.
When you join the Society you will receive a pdf copy of the latest edition and further issues as they are published. Copies are available in print format if preferred
Briefing is informal and accessible, to help keep members up to date with the latest news from within your Society and also with events in archaeology and history in Yorkshire.
Featured topics include Society projects and section news, archaeological finds and research, landscape and planning news, challenging opinion pieces, historical and technological matters, conferences and other events, recently published books and articles.
Briefing is not a peer-reviewed publication like the Journal. Although our authors are often national authorities, we also welcome contributions from less well-known writers!
