Yorkshire Archaeological Journal
A review of history and archaeology in the county, issued annually to subscribers. Back issues from 1870 to 2010 have been republished online, via the Internet Archive.
The Record Series
Generally, these are transcriptions of medieval or modern historical documents making significant sources accessible and interpreting them for a wide readership.
The Court Rolls of the Manor of Wakefield
These manorial documents are one of the treasures of our archive collections, covering land transactions and other proceedings from the late 13th century to the 1920s. Several rolls have been transcribed and published, some a century ago in the Record Series and other more recently, approximately every two years, in a series of their own.
A general collection of guides to, or ollections of essays about, places or topics of archaeological and historical interest.
Yorkshire Archaeological Reports
Reports of surveys and excavations on sites of significance around the county.
Yorkshire Parish Registers
Production of this series has now ceased, but between 1899 and 2014, 180 volumes of parish register transcriptions were published. Some are still available in printed form, others as CDs, and a few as typewritten transcripts on CD.
YAHS Members' Newsletter
The Society publishes an occasional newsletter called 'BRIEFING' for its members. Back numbers can be downloaded free of charge from this website, but to get future copies hot off the press why not join YAHS, the society dedicated to the archaeology and history of Yorkshire.
Publications of the Society's special interest sections
The Prehistory, Roman Antiquities, Medieval and Industrial History and Family History Sections of the Society each publish their own journals, annually or more frequently. Each Section has its own pages on this website where further details can be found.
