Bancroft Mill, the first 100 years

YAHS Industrial History Section Lecture.

Ian McKay, a volunteer at the mill, will tell the story of Bancroft Mill in Barnoldswick, working from 1920 until 1978, which still houses and operates Lancashire's (formerly Yorkshire) biggest steam mill engine. To be held at the Swarthmore Education Centre, 2-7 Woodhouse Square, Leeds, LS3 1AD. Non-members welcome - donation of £2.00 suggested. Tea/coffee is available in the Swarthmore café before the lecture.
