Jane Ellis will be leading a walk at Goole to look at the town's history, its docks, railways and Marine Art Trail.
Meet at Goole railway station at 10.35 am on arrival of the 10.05 train from Doncaster. A large, free car park with toilet facilities is on Estcourt Street, DN14 5AS close to the
library/museum building. We will have a cafe lunch in the stump of an old windmill, and at the end we will call at the museum, followed by refreshments in the nearby pub which is an ornate, converted bank. The distance covered is circa 2 miles but with lots of stops to look at sites of interest, and the pace will be slow. If you are interested in joining us please let Jane Ellis know by email at lecturesec.ihs@yahs.org.uk
