Great demand for YAHS publications online

  • Posted On: 3 November 2018

The YAHS collection online has racked up 26,000 views this year. This is great news. Good to know that a wonderful free service is being appreciated by so many people. I hope the dedicated YAHS members who put in so much work on this feel a warm glow of satisfaction.

But someone please tell us why vol 34 (1939) is the most popular, attracting 470 views. Could it be the early East Yorkshire sewers? Sedition and conspiracy in Tudor Yorkshire? It's a volume packed with all kinds of things.

At the moment, our online collection (follow this link) includes the Yorkshire Archaeological Journal to 2010, and most of the new series of Wakefield Court Rolls publications. We are now looking for support to digitise the full run of YAS Record Series and Early Yorkshire Charters in 2019.
