  • 2pm - Xmas Meeting - Dr Steve Sherlock: "Street House Neolithic Structure and other Early Prehistoric Sites in the Tees Valley"
  • 3pm - Christmas Tea - bring along your contributions
  • 3.30pm - Drs. Julie Bond & Stephen Dockrill, University of Bradford, will be: Exploring Neolithic, Iron Age, Pictish and Viking settlement at Swandro in the Orkney Island of Rousay.

Iron Age roundhouse remains could stop Mirfield development in tracks

The remains of an Iron Age roundhouse could be the latest weapon used by the people of Mirfield in a 20-year battle to stop developers building on a popular greenfield site.
